AFrankie Beverly, Popular R&B Singer, Died at 77, Announced By Bloodrelatives!uto Draft

Frankie Beverly (real name Howard Stanley Beverly), a popular R&B singer and a native of Philadelphia, passed away at the age of 77. The breaking news was dispersed by the family on 10, September, 2024 via an Instagram post.

“He lived his life with pure soul as one would say, and for us, no one did it better. He lived for his music, family and friends,” the post read.

However, the post does not disclose any kind of information about how he died, rather the sorrow is shared by the family. The real cause of death is still hidden, as the members don’t want to share the data publicly, this might be because talking about the cause of the demise might be a sensitive topic and requires a lot of strength.

Beverly’s Arrival Into The Music Industry

Something about his early career, he entered in the music industry very early, he performed as a soloist in the church, during his growing period he was in Philadelphia’s East Germantown neighbourhood. At first he started singing with The Silhouettes, after this he decided to create his own group, doo-wop, popularly known as the “The Blenders.”

In 1970, he decided to create a group which he termed as “Raw Soul,” the time when he was in Philly which in the end termed as the “Frankie Beverly and Maze.” After the formation of the group he decided to migrate from Philly to San Francisco, where he aligned in work with the Legend Marvin Gaye, the data is taken from Beverly’s official website.

“The Motown master would take the group under his wing and it was Gaye who suggested the group change their name. Frankie Beverly and Maze was born,” the website read.

Beverly was the main singer and producer along with the songwriter and the founder of the popular band, Frankie Beverly and Maze.

In May, Beverly and Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker, Councilmember Cindy Bass and community members, came together for the street dedication of “Frankie Beverly Way” in East Germantown.

“This is to someone who has made a significant contribution to the lives of Philadelphians,” The statement added by the Bass, during the dedication. “Anyone who knows music knows that Philadelphia is a music town, and Frankie has made such a contribution.”

The theme songs of the group, established by Beverly and Maze became a pillar in the Black Community, the songs are like a powerhouse for the audience, especially the songs, “Before I Let Go,” “Joy and Pain,” and “Happy Feelin’s.” 

No doubt the music band was popular as many of his songs were covered by popular artists such as Beyonce. The news of his passing has shocked everyone, his fans are in grief as they are expressing their sorrow and concern toward Beverly’s family. The whole music industry is saddened by his demise.

The demise of the singer is a significant loss for the complete music industry and for his fans as well, the voice of the singer is no doubt marvellous, as his fan base is quite strong, especially in the R&B singing which require a different kind of talent.

Not only his voice, the song he wrote provides joy, enormous pleasure and happiness to the community, as well as it is a great source of information for millions of people globally.
