Jamie Foxx was under the guidance of doctors, the reason behind this is an uncovered medical issue. The whole thing happened in April. Jamie Foxx is now able to uncover the real reason about what happened with him, what the illness is about and so on, which led to the medical emergency and he was admitted in the hospital, a year back in April.
A recently posted video by an instagram user, Brenda Combs, clarifies everything that happened with the actor in April 2023. In the initial part of the video, the actor addressed that from a few days back he had experienced a severe headache before his health worsened.
“I asked my boy for Advil,” he said before snapping his fingers. “I was gone for 20 days.”
Later on, Foxx added that a doctor prescribed him a cortisone shot which an injection used to cure the inflammatory conditions like swelling, pain and irritation. These injections generally contain artificially composed hormones, which helps in the reduction of the inflammation.
“The next doctor said something’s going on up there,” he continued, pointing to his head.
After this, he added that “I won’t say it on camera,” he then said a few times. This simply means that it’s completely a personal topic whom he doesn’t want to share with the media and public.
Likewise, maybe the actor thinks that sharing such illness would not be considered as appropriate or professional among his fan-base. This could be numerous reasons, for instance, it would have a solid-potential impact on others.
No one has talked about what happened with him previously, neither Foxx nor his family. Even though he said something more about the matter.
“I cannot even begin to tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back,” he said. “I went through something that I thought I would never ever go through. I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear updates, but to be honest with you, I just didn’t want you to see me like that.”
“I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie (or) television show. I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through,” he continued.
Although, he also shows his true emotions following his health ordeal.
“If you see me out from now on and every once in a while, I just burst into tears, it’s because it’s been tough, man,” he said. “I’ve been sick, man. But now, I’ve got my legs under me, so you’re going to see me out.”
In the next month, August 2023, he shared one more update on the same platform, Instagram. A picture of himself with a caption, “you’re lookin at a man who is thankful… finally starting to feel like myself… it’s been an unexpected dark journey… but I can see the light.”
“I’m thankful to everyone that reached out and sent well wishes and prayers,” he continued. “I have a lot of people to thank… u just don’t know how much it meant… I will be thanking all of you personally… and if you didn’t know… GOD IS GOOD… all day every day.”

Summing up, the illness is not disclosed by the actor, as this kind of news requires a lot of strength to talk about, however, it’s Jamie’s personal life and it is completely up to him to share the name of the illness he had suffered from with his fan base.
